In addition to receiving the printed versions of the journal Buddhist Studies Review, members are given access to the 'members area' on this website. Electronic back issues of Buddhist studies Review are kept in the members area. In addition, the members area has a disscussion board where members can communicate with other members and contribute to the development of the website.

Subscription details

Subscription rate:

£25/$50(USD)/£15 (unwaged) which will include subscription to the Association's journal, a copy of the Association's Handbook, and inclusion in its E-mail list, if you wish to subscribe (please email us here on the website if you do not wish to receive emails from the association).

Professional membership and Tax

UKABS is now accepted by the UK Inland Revenue as a recognised learned society, and has been added to their official list of approved bodies, which is available on their website. From the tax year 2009-2010, all academics and others for whom involvement in UKABS is part of your professional work, the UKABS membership subscription is allowable as a necessary work expense in relation to your professional employment income. In your tax return, you should put the figure in as a professional subscription on the relevant employment page, and note "UK Association for Buddhist Studies, Membership subscription" in the box on the page
